JTC stages demonstration

Jammu, Nov 2: A protest demonstration was held by Jagti Tenement Committee at Jagti township today under the  Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President of the Committee.
During the protest the participants expressed their grave concern over the attitude of the present Coliation Government for totally ignoring the Kashmiri Migrant thereby adding to their miseries and sufferings.
Pandita has said that though the leaders of PDP and BJP had assured permanent rehabilitation of Kashmiri Migrants in Kashmir valley during elections but it seems that the coliation has totally failed to fulfill its commitments. Sh. Pandita has further said that it is shameful on the part of the Government that the Kashmiri Pandit Community is at the verge of extinction due to prolonged exile of about 26 years and have been forced to live as migrants and the Government has not taken any initiative for permanent rehabilitation of this community in Kashmir Valley by raising Sattlite township for their dignified and peaceful living.
The protesters warned that 26 years have passed since the Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave their homeland and are living a life of migration since 1990 therefore such steps need to be taken for immediate rehabilitation of the community in valley.
The protesters have expressed their anguish over prevailing conditions in Kashmir Valley where Pakistani and ISIS Flags are being waved oftenly and openly and the administration as well as Government is mere spectators to such happenings. In addition the militancy has increased and the government has failed to curb militancy.
Raj Kumar Tickoo, Sunil Raina, Sunil Koul, Sanjay Pandita, Shabun Raina, S.L. Kar, Rajinder Dhar, Hari Krishan, Mtihen Pandita have said that instead of rehabilitating the community permanently the government is hell bent to add to the miseries of the community by banning issuance of RBA certificates to those migrant youth who belong to Reserved Backward areas of Kashmir Province.
