Education, road sectors priority for Govt: Zulfkar

RAJOURI, Nov 3: Present  dispensation  has  flagged education and  road communication as priority sectors in the development policy and    upgradation, construction  and improvement of roads and  education are receiving focused  attention  so as to     extend  better infrastructural facilities  to the people  living  in remote and far off pockets  of the district.
The Minister for CAPD, Ch Zulfkar Ali said this during public grievance redressal camps convened to take public feedback on various ongoing developmental   work at Koteranka and Budhal.
The Minister further said that the Government  has taken in hand massive projects of roads, building  and bridges including  Manohar Gala road, Gootu-Targain road, Marassi Morh -Bagalkote road, Koteranka -Budhal road and Sada bridge in order to make significant  difference in improving  road connectivity  across the district.
He said that most of the projects have been completed  as per the schedule  and several  others  are in pipeline  and likely  to be completed within  the targeted  time frame. He said that many important  proposals are under consideration for giving  a new look to the uncovered  areas  of the state.
He asked the concerned department to ensure spending of funds as per work schedule and concentrate on realizing outcomes.
Referring  to the establishment  of CAPD grievance redressal cell  , the Minister  said that decision  has been  taken to bring in transparency in departmental working and said that we are  committed  to bring visible  change  on ground and want to bring pro people environment in Government offices so that people at large could be benefitted.
Acting strict against the complaint of   absenteeism of block officers  at  Koteranka and Budhal,   the Minister  directed  the concerned SDM  to ensure that sectoral officers remain stationed at their respective places of posting besides sought cooperation from SSP to direct the concerned SHO to send attendance report of sectoral officers on daily basis to  the office of Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri so as to infuse accountability among the field functionaries as it is a basic thing needed  for  giving the required pace to the ongoing developmental works.
Responding to the demand of shortage of staff at Govt Degree college, Budhal, the Minister  assured to fill the vacancy  on priority basis.
The Minister also stressed upon the concerned officers  to achieve optimum results for development of core sectors in the district. He underscored the need for laying focused attention on improvement of road connectivity, drinking water, power supply, education and health care facilities equally across the district.
