14 passengers injured as mini-bus turns turtle

DODA, Nov 3: Fourteen passengers received injuries, when the mini-bus they were traveling in, turned turtle near Pakki Hatti area, falling under the jurisdiction of Khellani police station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-3067 was on its way to Assar from Doda, when the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle turned turtle near Pakki Hatti, resulting into injuries to 14 passengers.
After getting information, police team and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Doda, where their condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Renu Devi (30), wife of Rajinder Singh of Kuthyara, Mukesh Singh (30), son of Rajinder Singh, Neetu Devi (30), wife of Karam Chand, Sachin Singh (8), son of Mukesh Singh, Shubam (6), son of Mukesh Singh, Mithan Kumar (18), son of Gian Singh, Gain Devi (40), wife of Gori Lal, Pinky Devi (28), wife of Mukesh Kumar, Jyoti Devi (4), daughter of Mukesh Singh and Sonu Kumar (16), son of Gambir Chand, all residents of Sarsi, Raj Devi (48), wife of Hans Raj, Yotinder Singh (29), son of Karnail Singh and Manjeet Singh (28), son of Kartar Singh, trio residents of Malothi and Badhar Singh (54), son of Ram Das of Shamti.
A case in this regard has been registered at police post Khellani and investigation started.
