Plus 2 Lecturers oppose ban on private tuition

JAMMU, Nov 3: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers Forum has described the ban on private tuition by Government teachers as unjustified  and said that extra coaching is necessity to sharpen skills of the students.
A meeting of the Forum was held today under the chairmanship of N S Jamwal, chief advisor of the Forum, for discussing the issues related to Plus 2 cadre and  particularly the Government decision of banning private tuition.
The meet observed that students belonging to far off areas, where private coaching centres are not available, the extra coaching by highly qualified and experienced Government teachers is in the interest of students so that they may compete at local  and national level.
The meet also discussed several other demands of the Forum, which included running pattern to the cadre, regularization of all the incharge members of the cadre, 40 percent in-service quota for college lecturers, provision of study leave for higher qualification, non-vocational status to the Principals, immediate release of NPS funds and discussion of BOSE related problems at proper level.
President of the Forum, endorsed all demands  and stressed for  revocation of the Government  order banning private tuition of Government teachers.
The meeting was attended by Charan Dass, Anil Sharma, Dr Sushma Rani, R S Salathia, Sanjay Bhagat, Pardeep Singh, Jatinder Sethi, Subash Gupta, Mulkh Raj and others.
