JAMMU, Nov 5: Two more people were today tested positive for Dengue virus taking the total number of patients affected with the vector-borne disease in Jammu region to 128.
According to Dr BS Pathania, Director, Health Services Jammu, a total of 25 tests were conducted today for Dengue out of which two turned out to be positive. He said both the affected persons are adults (one male, another female).
Giving more details, Dr Pathania, said that both these Dengue infected persons belong to Kathua district.
He further disclosed that the till today the department conducted 773 tests for Dengue out of which 128 were found to be positive for Dengue virus.
Dr Pathania advised the people not to store water in open utensils and allow stagnation of water in their surroundings, as stagnant water is a breeding ground for Dengue mosquitoes. He also advised the people to prevent themselves from mosquito bites.
