RAJOURI, Nov 6: The district unit of Retired Police Personnel Forum has demanded enhancement of Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month and 15 % reservation for the wards of policemen in Police recruitment.
In a meeting of the Forum held here today under the chairmanship of Om Parkash Sharma, district president, the members projected their demands. They demanded 15% reservation in Police jobs for their children, hike in Medical allowance for the employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, sanctioning of Rs 50,000 at the time of death of policemen in favour of kin of the deceased for performing last rites, grant of One Rank One Pension in favour of Ex-policemen as per Army pattern and grant of Rs 50,000 from Police Welfare Fund at the time of marriage of daughter of retired police personnel. They urged upon the DGP to address the issues raised by the retired policemen.
