12 injured in road mishap

KATHUA, Nov 6: Twelve passengers were injured two of them seriously after the matador bearing number JK08 C 4831 in which they were traveling turned turtle at Bhagial 10 kms from here on Jammu -Pathankote National highway today.
The matador was on its way from Kathua to Dhani its way from Kathua to Dhani. The passengers said that driver accelerated the speed to chase the another matador on the route due to which he lost control on steering and the matador turned turtle resulting into injuries to 12 passengers.
Out of them two seriously injured passengers have been shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment. They included Soma Devi, wife of Rattan Chand of Pathankote and Gulshan Kumar, son of Sardari Lal of Behra. The others were taken to DH Kathua among them some have been discharged after giving first aid. The Kathua Police has registered a case against the driver for negligent driving.
