JAMMU: Security forces today busted a militant hideout and recovered cache of arms and ammunition in the mountainous Ramban district.
”The Rashtriya Rifles troops during the wee hours today busted a militant hideout in Nachlana area of Dachan in Ramban district and recovered large quantity of arms, ammunition and war like stores,” SN Acharya, officiating Defence spokesperson, here said.
Following the information, search and combing operation was launched in the area spanning over two days under extreme inclement weather conditions.
During search, the security forces recovered one AK 47 rifle with four magazines, two pistols, 250 rounds of AK 47, 30 rounds of PIKA, 10 hand grenades, 10 Under Barrel Grenade Launcher grenades, two radio sets, as many binoculars and two wire fuses from the hideout. (AGENCIES)
