3 bodies recovered

Srinagar, Nov 9: Police today said it recovered three bodies including of a Beacon employee at three separate places in city here.
A police spokesman said a body was recovered near Tengpora in Batamaloo area. “The deceased was later identified as Abdul Rashid Sodagar, a resident of Nundresh Colony A in Bemina,” he said, adding that after completion of legal-medico formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
The spokesman said another body was recovered from Yatra Niwas in Lal Chowk here. “The deceased was later identified as Mahesh Chand, a Beacon employee from Uttarakhand,” he said.
The police spokesman said the third body was recovered beneath the fly-over at Hyderpora here. He said the body was of a female and seems she was mentally unsound and non-state subject. The police have not identified the deceased so far.
The bodies of Mahesh Chand and unidentified female are in Mortuary at Pantha Chowk here, he said. “Police have registered cases and initiate proceedings under Section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of these deaths,” the police spokesman added.
