Unity in diversity embedded in history of Chenab region: Sunil

DODA, Nov 9: Minister of State for Public Works Department and Revenue, Sunil Kumar Sharma today attended the Grand Sufi Cultural evening – 2015, performed by reputed Sufi artists on the eve of Urs Shah Mohammad Asrar-ud-din Sahib (RA) and organized by the Kishtwar Development Authority at Tourist Reception Centre Kishtwar.
MLC Firdous Tak, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar G. N Balwan, SSP Kishtwar, CEO Kishtwar Development Authority, Pawan Parihar among others attended the cultural event.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister said that this cultural bonanza will be converted into a grand festival in future which will attract the tourists across the globe and help in generating many economic avenues.
Music has no boundaries and it provides the entertainment and soulfulness to the minds of people, he added.
Wishing the people on the upcoming Urs festival in the district which will be observed on November 10, he said that this region has the histroy of unity in diversity and this festival sets the best example of communal harmony in the Chenab valley as the people irrespective of their religion and faith pay respect to the religious saints of the region on this festival.
