Blood Volunteer Day observed in Gandhi Nagar Hospital

JAMMU, Oct 1: On the directions of Minister of Health , Family Welfare and Medical Education, Ch. Lal Singh and Director Health Services Jammu Dr.B.S.Pathania, National Blood Volunteer Day was observed in Government Gandhi Nagar Hospital here, today.
On the occasion a Voluntary Blood Donation cum awareness camp was organised in the Hospital in which staff, students of different Paramedical Institute and General Public participated. Awareness lecture on importance of voluntary blood donation camp was delivered by Dr. Deepak Kumar to the public and students in which he gave detailed information about the importance of voluntary blood donation to achieve national goal of 100 percent voluntary blood Transfusions in India. He told that any Healthy person between the age of 18 to 60 years who is above 45 kg of weight can donate blood in any Government approved /licensed blood bank.
Dr. Rajat Gupta Pathologist, Principal ANMT School, Matron Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar was also present on the occasion.   The whole program was organised under the active supervision and guidance of Dr. Mohd. Younis Choudhary Medical Superintendent of the Hospital.
