16 injured in road mishap

UDHAMPUR, Nov 12: Sixteen passengers were injured when a rashly driven minibus rammed into a roadside hillock at Cherni, under the jurisdiction of Majalta Police Station, here today.
All the injured were shifted to Majalta PHC where four of them were referred to the Government Medical College Hospital Jammu and two others to District Hospital Udhampur in view of their serious condition.
The minibus, bearing registration number JK14D-5767, was on way from Nagrota to Manwal when driver lost control over the speeding vehicle and subsequently hit the Cherni hillock.
Those referred to GMC Hospital Jammu, were  identified as Rasal Singh (62), son of Anant Singh  of Sunal , Vijay Kumar (21) son of Pantha Singh of  Mandal, Soma Devi (36) wife of Parkash resident of Pathwar and  Shyam Singh (56) son of Naseeb Sigh.
Satya Dev (42) wife of Krishan Lal of Garh Dehma and her daughter Renu Devi (15), have been referred to Udhampur.
Other injured were identified as  Saro Devi (55) wife of Joginder Kumar of Garh Dehma, Naveen Akhter (15) son of Mohd Rafiq of Garh Dehma, Subina Begum (22) wife of Bashir Ahmed of Khoon , her one year old son Abdul Quoom, Pooja Devi (19),  daughter of Sukhdev Singh of Panara, Kamaljeeet Singh (62),  son of Kalya Singh  of Majalta,  Champa Devi (25), wife of Rattan Singh of Sundla, Vishnoo Devi (60) wife of Deewan Chand of Balpur, Vijay Kumar (62),  wife of Jagannath of  Ramkote and  Taro Devi (55) wife of Joginder Paul of Garh Dehma.
