JAMMU, Nov 13: Anchal Singh Manhas has been elected as new president of Taxi Operators Union, Railway Station Jammu.
He defeated Devinder Choudhary with a huge margin of 129 votes. Out of 509 votes, Anchal Singh was polled 316 while Devinder Choudhary could secure only 187 votes.
Ravinder Singh was declared elected as vice-president. He defeated Harjinder Singh with a margin of 134 votes while Baldev Raj Sharma was elected as general secretary by defeating Sanjay Sharma with a margin of 121 votes.
The elections were held under the supervision of Tehsildar and Police authorities.
