KATHUA, Nov 13: SHO, Hiranagar, Sarabjit Singh and two Munshis of police station were today placed under suspension on the directives of D G Police K Rajendra during his visit to police station. The DG also ordered their attached to District Police Lines Kathua.
The suspension orders were issued by the Department soon after the instructions of the DGP, DIG Jammu-Kathua Range, Ashkoor Wani told Excelsior.
He said the DG who had to attend the cremation of DySP CID Naresh Kumar Gupta (Nitti) in Hiranagar today also made a surprise visit to police station. He was astonished to see the condition of police station which was looking shabby.
Mr Wani said during his inspection to Munshi’s Room he found that the daily diary (Roznamcha) was also not maintained. Taking a serious exception to style of functioning of the concerned SHO and Munshis, the DG issued directives for their immediate suspension and attachment to DPL Kathua, he added.
He said the new SHO and Munshis will be posted tomorrow.
