SAMBA, Nov 14: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today inaugurated the upgraded work of 7.5 kms road from Abtal Camp to Baba Chamilyal constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 7.61 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister informed that the Baba Chamliyal being a famous tourist spot and visited by a large number of visitors, therefore, it was a long pending demand of the people of the area to upgrade the existing road to double lane.
He said the Coalition Government was committed to create better infrastructural facilities in every nook and corner of the State under a well-knit development programme.
Mr. Ganga also kick started the up-gradation of 4.5 km Ramgarh-Nanga road which would cost Rs 4.66 crore and launched the work of boundary wall of Community Facility Centre at village Chack Babral in border area of Ramgarh. He also inaugurated the toilet complex at village Govindgarh and Koulpur constructed with a cost of Rs 10 lakh.
He was also apprised of various demands pertaining to the development of the area by the villagers including requirement of kitchen, store room and toilet for CFC, construction of cremation ground road etc. He assured to address all genuine demands on priority.
Earlier, the Minister kick started the work of blacktopping of 1200 mtr road from Tarore to Lado Di Chapri in Bari Brahmana amounting to Rs 9 lakh being executed by PWD(R&B).
Among others, District Development Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda, ACD Samba Tilak Raj Thapa, SDM Vijaypur, Rajnish Gupta, XEn PWD(R&B) Dinesh Rampal, DPO Samba, Deepak Dubey, BDO Ramgarh, Rakesh Dubey, concerned officers, sarpanches, panches and local public were also present on the occasion.
