JAMMU, Nov 19: Muslim Federation Jammu today appealed the international community to build up a strong peaceful movement against terrorism in all its forms and manifestation so that humanity can survive.
The Federation in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its president Abdul Majid discussed the growing threat of terrorism from ISIS, which has claimed the responsibility for Paris attack. The participants called the Muslim community to stand united forcefully and oppose the growing threat of ISIS for global peace.
“Such an organization is defaming Islam and Muslims world over by its dastardly action where death and destruction has become order of the day”, they said, adding “the new creed of suicide bombers don’t care for themselves while committing an act of terrorism contrary to Islamic teachings where human life is respected and protected”.
Stating that this group needs to be isolated so that its activities are curbed from inception, the Muslim Federation said, “this group is not only responsible for its annihilation but in the process attracts large scale destruction of innocent lives, who are forced to meet such a fate quite contrary to their wishes”.
The speakers appealed to the opinion makers in the society and particularly the Muslim community to launch peaceful offensive on ideological front against terrorism as it detracts the community from its path and make it a suspect. “Islam can flourish only in a peaceful atmosphere and stands for a total and complete peaceful co-esistence of all human beings on this planet”, they said.
Many speakers discussed the genesis and causes of terrorism for the last three-four decades and criticized the policies of some super powers who have sponsored and supported the terrorism to implement their political agenda and paid the price for their policies later on.
They urged the UNO to convene a special session of its General Assembly to find out the root causes of terrorism and ways and means to address it. The Muslim Federation also appealed to the international community to build up strong peaceful movement against terrorism in all its forms and manifestation so that humanity can survive.
