Lalu’s two sons inducted into Nitish Kumar cabinet

PATNA : It was a proud moment for Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad whose two sons Tejaswi and Tej Pratap Yadav were inducted today in the Nitish Kumar cabinet.

It was a first instance when two brothers have been inducted into the same Council of Ministers.

Tejaswi was sworn in smoothly but Tej Pratap Yadav stumbled over the words during the swearing in ceremony prompting Governor Ram Nath Kovind to correct him.

Their induction into the council of ministers raised eyebrows as both Yadav brothers are political greenhorns.

The family of the former Union minister turned out in full strength at the JD(U)-RJD-Congress oath taking ceremony at Gandhi Maidan in Patna to watch the siblings being sworn in.

Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu exchanged pleasantries with Lalu, who was seated beside him.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also could be seen greeting the proud father.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also put in an appearance at today’s ceremony besides former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit. (UNI)
