Youths on ‘National Integration’ tour visit Jammu, Pune

Srinagar, Nov 20: As an initiative to enhance the bonding between army and the local populace an also to showcase the unity in diversity of the nation, 20 youths from various parts of Kulgam and Anantnag districts of south Kashmir visited Jammu and Pune cities.
A defence spokesman said the youths visited Bagh-e-Bahu garden at Jammu and later proceeded to Pune where the students were taken to the prestigious institutes like Symbiosis Management Institute, National Defence Academy, Armed Forces Medical College and the College of Military Engineering during which the students interacted with the faculty members of these institutions.
“The students apart from visiting these educational institutions were extremely excited to visit Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, Amanora Mall and Water Park. The aim was to give an exposure to these young children of the numerous avenues available to them outside the state once they complete their basic education with good marks,” he said.
The youth also got the rare opportunity to interact with the Commandants of College of Military Engineering and National Defence Academy with whom they shared their experiences. “The tour will go a long way in inspiring and moulding the young minds and help them in shaping their future,” the defence spokesman added.
