RAJOURI, Nov 20: Some people held protest and disrupted movement of traffic on Jammu-Poonch highway at Muradpur near Rajouri after they found a cow and calf lying unconscious in the area.
Reports said that locals of the area found a calf and cow lying unconscious under mysterious circumstances. They suspected this as an act of some bovine smugglers. At around 10.20 am they raised barricades on the road at Muradpur and started protest demonstration against police and local administration.
Later, SHO Rajouri reached the spot and assured inquiry into the matter to the agitating public. A Veterinary team was also called at the site. On the assurance of the Police, the people then cleared road after half an hour. The Veterinary team ruled out any foul play.
