Jews were displaced from their homeland of Israel when Assyrian conquered north Israel (700 B.C) Babylonians South Israel (587 B.C). Romans took over Israel in 63 B.C and crucified Jesus Christ a Jew for preaching his gospels. Later they accepted his gospels and founded after him world’s largest religion of Christianity. Islam that took birth in 610 A.D at Saudi Arabia spread to various parts of the world.
After World War –II (1939-45) Britain and its allies re-established Israel in 1948 much against the wishes of Muslim world. Arab-Israel conflict gave birth to many terror outfits in Egypt, Algeria, Yemen & Sudan. on April 27, 1978 some army officers of Afghanistan trained in Soviet union overthrew monarchy and established democracy under Noor Mohammad led PDPA which introduced sweeping reforms hurting interest of Afghan warlords, Muslim clergy and moneylenders who raised rebellion. Gen Zia-ul-Haq a son of maulvi having come to power in Pakistan through a military coup, aided and abetted the Afghan rebellion led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar. Gen Zia also encouraged Jamat-I-Islami Pakistan to multiply Madrasas (Islamic Schools) indoctrinating students (Talibans) for Jehad (Holy war). Providing free boarding & lodging these madrasas attracted youth in large number not only from among poor Pakistanis but also Afghan refugees who after indoctrination with Jehad &Islamic education were trained in I.S.I (Intelligence wing of Pakistani Army ) run training camps and sent to fight Afghan forces. To counter Talibans & rebels under Hikmatyar Afghan Govt. invited soviet forces in Dec.1979. U.S.A and its allies fresh from their failure in Vietnam came in aid of Afghan rebels to take revenge against Soviet Union. They not only poured billions of U.S dollars but also provided sophisticated arms including 400 stinger missiles in aid of Afghan rebels through Pak’s. I.S.I. They also encouraged propaganda like Islam in danger inviting Muslim Volunteers from all over world to fight ungodly Communists. Many militant outfits took birth during this conflict. Most dreaded Pakistan based outfit is JUD (Jamaat-Ud-Dawa) founded in 1986 of which Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) is the militant wing.
In 1987 he founded AI-Qaeda along with hard core militant groups of Arab world including Egyptian Islamic Jehad Led by Dr. Zawahari. After Soviet pull out in 1989 Bin Laden had become a symbol of Islamic resurgence. His Al Qaeda Cadre grew to 70,000 strong spread over 34 countries. Soon after he started targeting U.S interests in various countries and in 1998 urged the Muslims to continue jehad (Holy war) by sacrificing their wealth and lives till their holy places are Liberated from Jews & Christians. Pakistani militant groups after soviet pull out in 1989 started infiltration into India particularly Kashmir valley restoring to selective killing of Hindus who were forced to go in exile in 1990. Also after break up of soviet union Pakistan looking for corridor to oil rich central Asian countries established in middle of 1995 Taliban regime in Afghanistan under Mullah Umar forcing Hikmatyar then prime minister to flee . On September 11,2001 Al-Qaeda’s Knife weilding militants hijacked four American Airline planes. Two of them originating from Boston were crashed against twin towers of world trade Centre New York, a symbol of America’s economic power killing 3000 peoples. The third plane was directed against Pentagon at Washington a symbol of America’s military power. America declared war on terror and recognized Osama Bin laden & his Al-Qaeda network as suspects. When Mullah Omar refused to hand over Osama Bin laden, America and it’s allies started high tech. war on Afghanistan by bombing selective targets from October 7,2001. Talibans alongwith Osama Bin Laden went into hiding & Mohd. Karzai was installed as president of Afghanistan. However war on terror still remains inconclusive. A new outfit ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq & Syria) led by Abu-Bakr-al-Baghdadi, a former Al-Qaeda Commander of Iraq has not only taken over oil fields in Syria but has also occupied much of Syria’s territories beside that of Iraq. He has gone to build a global network of affiliates and branches spread over from Afghanistan to west Africa .His propaganda through Android app. is calling upon Muslims all over the world for holy war. The I.S.I.S cadre besides committing barbaric acts of killing in occupied territories has recently on Nov 14, 2015 carried out bloodiest attacks across Paris killing 128 & wounding 250 people. It is as such high time that people across the world unite to fight the menace of terrorist.
