PCC chief terms ‘Coalition Govt’ as sinking boat

SRINAGAR, Nov 22: Describing Congress Party as an instrument of service to the people, PCC chief GA Mir urged upon the Party cadre to  remain steadfast in serving the people to the best of their ability.
Addressing party Convention at Teetwal in Kashmir today, the PCC chief urged the Party workers to reach out to the people for resolution of issues confronting them. He said Congress has never indulged in discrimination and has defeated those who are dividing society on communal and regional lines. He said Congress would continue to fight against discrimination with the people.
PCC chief claimed that Party would continue to play its role as a responsible and constructive opposition for the resolution of the issues confronting people in entire State of J&K.
Hitting out at Coalition Govt for failing to addresses basic issues facing J&K State, Mir said that PDP- BJP Coalition is discriminating with people on political lines to save their sinking boat, but he felt confident that Congress Party would continue to fight against anti- people policies of Coalition Govt.
Expressing concern over the rising unemployment, he said unemployment is a big issue and Coalition Govt led by PDP has failed to tackle it, rather they are creating more unemployment problem due to its wrong policies. There is a need for immediate remedial measures to be taken up for curbing unemployment problem, he said.
MLA Haji Abdul Rashid Dar while speaking on the occasion   accused ‘Coalition’ for its approach towards the people living in far- flung areas. He said that Coalition Govt should not discriminate with people on political lines and warned that it is fraught with dangerous consequences.
