VARANASI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit his parliamentary constituency on December 12 along with his his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe.
Officials here today said the PMO is yet to send the detailed programme of the Prime Minister but as per the preleminary information both premiers would be present during Ganga Aarti in the evening followed by a dinner hosted by Mr Modi for Mr Abe at a hotel.
Varanasi Mayor Ram Gopal Mohley told here today that there is a programme of PM’s visit to his parliamentary constituency on December 12 along with Japanese PM. He also said the detailed programme of the visit is yet to be received.
Senior officials here are assessing the security arrangements for the visit. This would be first time that any other country’s PM would accompany Mr Modi to Varanasi.
The authorities are apprehending shortage of security forces as at the same time, the state would witness counting of votes for the village pradhan polls on December 12. (UNI)
