BHADERWAH, Nov 24: Vocational Training Course and Embroidery Training for women organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Delta Force, here at Chinta, culminated today.
The classes started on October 23 by the Army under Sadbhavana initiative. A total of 30 women from socially and economically backward strata of society have been benefitted and trained on nuances of sewing, knitting, stitching, tailoring and embroidering with an aim to enable them to stand on their own feet and become financially independent and self-employed.
On the occasion certificate of proficiency and sewing machines were also distributed to these participant women.
During the closing ceremony, Om Prakash Kotwal, Sarpanch, Jalga Panchayat, Sushil Bhagat, Sarpanch Dugga, Ajit Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch Chinthora, Abdul Latif Mir, were also present.
In his speech, the chief guest, Om Prakash Kotwal, said that Delta Force has always been a front runner in organizing constructive activities for the locals, and hoped that it will continue to do so in future as well.
