SRINAGAR, Nov 24: Intensifying its agitation against the State Government over non-fulfillment of their demands, the Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum today issued a fresh protest calendar.
According to a statement issue here, the Forum said a complete lock-out was observed today in all primary and middle schools of the State as a mark of protest against alleged Government apathy and discrimination towards them.
The statement said that after threadbare discussion in a meeting of Executive body of the Forum under the chairmanship of Farooq Ahmad Tantray, a fresh protest calendar has been issued.
As per the calendar, peaceful protests would be held at all district headquarters of the State and the memorandums would be submitted to CEOs and concerned DCs.
On November 28, the protest demonstrations would be staged at Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora, Rajouri, Poonch and Ramban districts from 1:30 pm to 3:00pm. Similarly on December 1, the protest demonstrations would be staged at Anantnag, Doda, Kulgam and Kishtwar.
On December 2, the demonstrations would be staged at Pulwama, Shopian, Kathua and Samba. The ReTs would hold demonstrations at Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam, Udhampur, Reasi and Jammu on December 3.
The chairman of the Forum, Farooq Ahmad Tantray has meanwhile condemned the reported remarks of Education Minister Naeem Akhtar wherein he has said that the Government would go ahead with screening test.
