CS reviews BADP, stresses on timeline completion of projects

SRINAGAR, Aug 30: The State Level Screening Committee on Border Area Development Programme (BADP) headed by the Chief Secretary Madhav Lal on Thursday, reviewed the status of the programme in Kupwara, Rajouri and Poonch districts.
Chief Secretary while reviewing the sector wise proposed Annual Action Plan 2012-13 for each district, emphasized on taking concrete steps towards completing all ongoing projects and following appropriate convergence model. He also directed for proper documentation of the projects undertaken under the programme including photographic record and use of geo-mapping technology.
The Deputy Commissioners were also directed to ensure regular monitoring of the works by dispatching teams to the remote border areas in their respective districts to assess implementation progress.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Finance, M I  Khanday, Principal Secretary Planning and Development, B B Vyas, Principal Secretary Home, B R  Sharma, Principal Secretary PDD, Sudhanshu Pandey, Administrative Secretaries, District Development Commissioners of Kupwara, Rajouri and Poonch and other senior officers.
