RAJOURI, Nov 25: Under special drive against drug menace, Rajouri Police today arrested a drug peddler and seized white smack from his possession.
The accused, identified as Wasim Raja, alias Raja Char of Kheora, Rajouri was held when he was on way to Rajouri from Jammu in a tempo. Six grams (6000mg) white smack was recovered from his possession.
Police party, under the supervision of Dy SP Operations, Iftkhar Ahmed and I/C PP Chingus, SI Danish Dar, laid a special naka near PP Chingus area and intercepted the drug peddler.
In this connection, a case under 8/21NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri and further investigation is going on to unearth the modus operandi of the drug peddlers and their nexus with other local and non local associates.
