Modi calls upon MPs to perform in Parliament as per people’s expectations

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called for smooth, creative and meaningful debate and discussions in Parliament during the winter session as per expectations of the nation.

In brief remarks before media prior to the commencement of the session here, Mr Modi said “Vaad ho, vivaad ho, samvaad ho, yahi sansad ki aatma hai(Debate, discussion and communicative dialogue are soul of the Parliament)”.

“Our Constitution is a ray of hope that symbolises harmony, opportunity, people’s participation and equality”, he said. “I, am confident, we all MPs will leave no stone unturned to match up to expectations of people”, the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister’s words are significant in view of the last monsoon session that was a total washout following row over a number of controversial issues in July-August earlier this year.

The session that commenced today will last till December 23. (UNI)
