PYC holds protest to raise problems of border people

RS PURA, Nov 26:  Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC)  activists held a strong protest demonstration under the leadership of State president Pranav Shagotra, at  border town of RS Pura to raise the problems being faced by the people who are living in bad condition.
The youth from border belt of R S Pura and Suchetgarh,  actively participated in this protest programme. They were shouting slogans against PDP-BJP Coalition in the State and Modi Govt at the Centre.
While addressing the youth, Mr Shagotra said that the people of the State, especially those living near LoC and Indo-Pak border, are directly affected with the prevailing situation. He expressed sympathies with the border people and urged the Government to adopt an effective strategy in order to ensure the cessation of hostilities by Pakistan.
Taking a dig at the hollowness of policies of BJP led NDA Government on this front which is evident from the  facts that many ceasefire violations have taken place during the period of 18 months, since the Modi Government taken over at the Centre.
The PYC demanded adequate compensation in favour of the victims of firing  and also demanded that the Government should  immediately fulfill the promise of allotting 5 marla plots  to the identified population of IB  and LoC as per promise in order to accommodate them in safer zones.
He also demanded that the kin of those who were killed in firing, should be immediately given jobs.  The PYC leader also sought  compensation for damaged crop, cattle killed in shelling and  special recruitment drive for educated youths of border belt in military and para military forces.
Prominent who were present and spoke on the occasion included Chetan Wanchoo, Sandeep Singh Rissam, Charanjit Singh, Ricky Dalotra, Sachin Gupta, Ramneek Singh, Khushwant Singh, Dheeraj Sharma, Rocky Choudhary and Gurvinder Singh.
