JK BOSE conducts State level competition

JAMMU, Nov 28: J&K State Adolescence Education Cell, State BOSE conducted State level Role play and folk song dance competition on Adolescence Education at GHHS Boys Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
This was for the first time that JK BOSE has conducted these competitions under National Population Education project.
Prof Zahoor Ahmad Chat Chairman, J&K State BOSE was the chief guest on the occasion. He thoroughly inspired the participants with his matured perceptions and thought provoking speech on adolescence education.
Prof Veena Pandita Secretary, J&K State BOSE who was the guest of honour conveyed the message of best wishes to all the participants and congratulated the winning teams.
This programme was organized so as to select teams for participation at national level role play as well as folk song/ dance competitions at New Delhi.  Various themes viz process of growing up, charms and challenges of adolescence, healthy relationships among adolescents, HIV/AIDS stigmatization and cause and impact of drug abuse, respect and care for elders, female foeticide and protection of environment were highlights of the programme.
For the evaluation of these competitions, Dr Shivali Gupta, Bhupinder Singh Jamwal and Dr Jyoti Malhotra acted as judges. The teams from district Udhampur, District Jammu and district Poonch were declared as  first, second and third in the role play competition while teams from District Jammu, District Kathua and District Rajouri were adjudged as first second and third in the folk song / dance competition.
