KISHTWAR, Nov 29: Two residential houses were gutted in fire at Suzana Palmar area late last night.
As per police sources, locals witnessed smoke billowing out from a cattle shed, which later engulfed two residential houses owned by Ghulam Hassan and Kaush Mohammad. The locals informed the police.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames.
After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control, but till then the houses were completely gutted in fire.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could has not been ascertained yet.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Kishtwar police station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, civil administration and Red Cross provided Rs 10,000, 2 tents, 2 solar lights and 10 blankets to affected families as immediate relief.
