Keep provision of 7th Pay Comm in Budget: EJAC

JAMMU, Nov 30: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has urged upon the State Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu to keep the provision for the 7th Pay Commission in the upcoming State budget.
In a statement issued here today senior JCC leader and president EJAC Abdul Qayoom Wani said that the Central Govt is going to implement the 7th Pay Commission from January, 2016 and accordingly the same becomes due for the State and Public Sector employees as well.
Mr Wani said the State Govt should take all the real stake holders into confidence while finalizing the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. He appealed the Chief Minister and Finance Minister to keep the provision/ funds available for the 7th Pay Commission in the State in the ensuring Budget Session.
EJAC leader said that the Govt should exhibit the employee-friendly attitude. He hoped that Govt will come to the expectations of the employees by keeping the provision for the 7th Pay Commission that can benefit, the 4 lakh employees and the pensioners.
The trade union leader urged upon the Govt to regularize the daily wagers, casual labours and temporary workers without any further delay. He said the Finance Minister should fulfilled his promise and commitment made regarding the regularization of daily wager, casual labours, temporary workers and the pay anomaly be removed in all the grades especially in the grade of Rs 6500- 10500 (pre-revised) and the clerical cadre.
