Class 10th student pretends kidnapping of his own

UDHAMPUR, Nov 30: Acting swiftly, Udhampur police today solved a pretended kidnapping case in which the victim turned out to be conspirator, who had fled to avoid embarrassment in wake of poor performance in exams.
Today around 0800 hrs, this morning, one Romesh Singh of Mand A/P Jail Road Udhampur, approached Udhampur Police Station with the complaint that his son namely Ruderaksh alias Anshu, a 10th class student, who had gone for tuitions in the morning near Capri, Shiv Nagar Udhampur, was kidnapped by some unknown persons.
Acting on the complaint, a case FIR, under Section 363/RPC, was registered and a police teams, led by Addl SP Mohan Lal Kaith, Dy SP Hqrs Gourav Mahajan, and SHO Inspr. Arjun Singh Chib, was dispatched to suspected areas to recover the kidnapped boy. Police got the lead when one of close associates and class mate of the missing boy in same school, who also happened to be his cousin, was questioned thoroughly. While questioning, he broke down and narrated the whole episode.
Accordingly, district Police Doda was informed about the incident and ultimately the boy was recovered from Bhaderwah.
During questioning of the boy at Bhaderwah, he informed that he had performed very poorly in the recently held school exams resulting in low marks. In this connection, a parent-teacher meet was organized by school authorities, to make aware the parents about the performance of children. Because of his poor performance and to divert the attention of the parents, he concocted this whole drama of kidnapping and deliberately boarded a Bhaderwah bound bus, from where he was safely recovered by the Police.
