Basith community holds one day sammelen

NOWSHERA, Nov 30: Basith, Scheduled Caste community organised its first ever one day sammelen at Nowshera in which delegates of the community from Nowshera, Kalakot, Rajouri, Akhnoor, Jammu, Reasi, Ramban, and other parts of Jammu province participated.
The participants discussed in detail the High Court Judgement in which reservation promotion has been scrapped. They also discussed to bring new reform for their community.
R K Kalsotra, State president, All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations J&K was the chief guest of the Sammealen whereas Capt Raj Kumar, district president community presided over it.
While addressing the community Kalsotra congratulated the community for holding sammelen and apprised them about the struggle launched by the Confederation in the State as well in the country to Save the Reservation.
He further said along with denial of reservation in promotion by the Court, we have submitted a chartered of demands to Chief Minister and DyCM to bypass the HC order and issue Ordinance for its continuation.
Moreover we are demanding immediate inclusion of 77th, 81st, 82nd and 85th Parliament Amendments in J&K State, filling up of backlog of over 50000 post pending due to regularization of daily wages without implementing reservation, removal of marks/income slab for scholarship, reservation in all the universities in the State and release of adequate fund in SCP/STP.
Capt Raj assured Kalsotra the full support of their community with the Confederation movement and said large number of their members will participate in Delhi rally on December 7, 2015.
Those who addressed the sammelen were Bidhi Chand, Dr Manohar Singh Basith, Raghubir Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Harminder Singh, Kirpal Singh, Ajeet Singh, Jaswant Singh, Vimal Kumar, Jarnail Singh & others.
