NMC urges PM to implement 7th PC recommendations

JAMMU, Nov 30: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to expedite the implementation of 7th Pay Commission (PC) recommendations by issuing an administrative order.
“We appeal the Prime Minister to expedite the implementation of the 7th PC recommendations by issuing an administrative order immediately so that the implementation of the same takes place from January 1, 2016 as per the commitment made by the NDA Government to the salaried class”, NMC president Subash Shastri said during a press conference held here today.
Shastri said as the recommendations were now out, there should be no delay in implementing them as and when the next union cabinet meeting is held.
He said Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed should immediately request the Prime Minister to sanction the funds for the implementation of the Pay Commission for the State.
NMC president said that the State Government should undertake the efforts on war footing so that J&K becomes the first State in the country to implement the 7th PC recommendations.
Other demands highlighted by Shastri included release of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in various departments of the State Government, strict enforcement of CP Fund deduction schemes in all departments, enhancing wages of daily wagers to Rs 10,000 per month besides release of 6% DA installment due from July last and removal of all pay anomalies of clerical cadre in SRO 93.
