Vodafone Health Walk in Jammu tomorrow

JAMMU, Dec 1: Vodafone is conducting the Third Annual ‘Health Walk’ in Jammu on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the Comrade Dhanvantri Park, Railway Road, Opposite RBI.
The idea is to create public awareness about the importance of physical fitness and well-being.
Earlier, Vodafone had organized the first and second edition of the ‘Health Walk’ for Jammu residents at Jammu University which had witnessed a strong turnout as city residents actively participated in it.
Sharing his thoughts on the reason behind organizing the ‘Health Walk’,
Pushpinder S Gujral, Business Head – J&K, Punjab and HP, Vodafone India, said, “At Vodafone, we look for ways to contribute towards building a better society. An ideal society is one which is healthy and happy. The purpose behind organizing this Health Walk is to sensitize the populace of Jammu about the importance of healthy living and share with them adequate information to achieve the same.”
The ‘Health Walk’ will begin at 5:00 pm on Thursday.  To begin with, Vodafone has invited fitness and yoga experts at the venue to conduct a light exercise and yoga session for the residents of the city. During this session, the participants will be explained about the benefits of regular physical exercise and yoga and will be taught the correct techniques for practicing the same.
Subsequently, there will be a Health Check-Up session where professional doctors will conduct a routine medical check-up and provide free consultation and fitness tips. Post-medical check-up, the entire team of Vodafone officials, volunteers, doctors and the participants from Jammu’s populace will proceed for the Health Walk inside the park. During the Health Walk, Vodafone volunteers will be present along the track holding placards etc to promote the message of physical exercise, yoga and routine medical check-ups, thereby taking this Health Walk initiative a step further.
