JAMMU, Dec 1: A woman injured in a hit and run case succumbed to her injuries late last night here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police spokesperson, the woman identified as Santosh (65) wife of Bodh Raj, a resident of Akhnoor, at present living in Prem Nagar, New Plot (Jammu), received serious injuries when an unknown vehicle at about 7.45 last evening hit her while crossing a road at New Plot.
The injured woman was shifted to GMCH, where she succumbed to her injuries late last night. Today after completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
The concerned police has already taken cognizance of the matter.
