SRINAGAR, Dec 2: A seminar on drug abuse was organized at Watergam area of Baramulla district, here.
The seminar was organized by Watergam Civil Society in collaboration with SDPO Rafiabad Shabir Khan.
Bar president Baramulla laid emphasis on the menace in the light of NDPS Act 1985, and other speakers covered the social, medical and moral aspects of the subject.
SDPO Rafiabad Shabir Khan threw light over the ill-effects of the drug abuse and asked the youth to stay away from social evils.
He also guided the youth to be the part of development of the nation by shunning the drug addiction. SDPO Rafiabad desired that such events will be organized in future as well.
People from all walks including SHO Dangiwacha, local youth, students and the respectable of Watergam took part in the seminar.
