Three thieves arrested, stolen items including bike recovered

JAMMU, Dec 4: Akhnoor police arrested three thieves and recovered stolen items including a motorcycle from their possession.
As per police sources, police team from Akhnoor police station during checking of vehicles intercepted a Passion motorcycle bearing registration number JK02T-2846.
During scrutinizing of documents, it came to fore that the bike was stolen from Sungal Morh area on November 27 this year and arrested the rider, who has been identified as Rohit Sharma, son of Subash Chander, a resident of Nai Basti Thathi, Akhnoor.
In this connection a case under FIR Number 223/15 under Section 379 RPC has been registered against the thief at Akhnoor police station and investigations started.
Meanwhile, police team from Akhnoor police station also arrested two more thieves and recovered a stolen Mobile Phone (Samsung Duos) and 40 water taps from their possession, which they had stolen from MES Camp Dummi Malpur.
The accused have been identified as Parveen Kumar, son of Kala Ram and Mukesh Kumar, son of Bodh Raj, both residents of Malpur Sua No 1.
A case against them also stands registered with Akhnoor police station and further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team headed by SHO Akhnoor police station Inspector Pushpinder Singh made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
