JAMMU, Dec 4: A man was killed while another injured when the bike they were travelling on, collided with a road divider in Nagrota area of city outskirts, this afternoon.
According to a police spokesperson, Rakesh Kumar son of Dev Raj and Sita Ram son of Mansa Ram, both residents of Marh, were going towards Jammu from Nagrota on their bike bearing registration number JK02BC-7204, when the rider lost control over the speeding bike and it collided with divider of the road near Jagti in Nagrota area.
In the mishap, both received serious injuries and were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where Rakesh was declared as brought dead. The condition of Sita Ram was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
The body of the deceased man was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
A case in this connection has been registered at police station Nagrota and investigations are underway.
