JAMMU, Dec 4: A delegation of All J&K Power Employees Co-ordination Committee met Commissioner/ Secretary PDD in Civil Secretariat here today and apprised him of the issues of the employees.
The delegation led by chairman AJKPECC, Doulat Ram Bhagat, submitted charter of demands to Commissioner Secretary Dheeraj Gupta regarding various long pending issues of the Power employees and engineers. The chairman expressed serious concern over major issue of non-regularisation of power employees and engineers at all levels. Co-ordination Committee strongly expressed that process of regularisation/ confirmation at all levels of Power employees may be expedited.
After detailed discussion the Commissioner Secretary issued on the spot instructions to concerned Special Secretary PDD & Additional Secretary HRM to expedite the said process to address the serious concern of the Power employees and engineers.
The Co-ordination Committee raised the issue of the problems faced by Power employees post electrical mishaps and subsequent harassment met by the officials/officers during the course of investigations. Mr Gupta assured the delegation that matter would be immediately taken up with the Home Department, so that the power officials are not unnecessarily harassed in such cases.
The Committee conveyed gratitude to the Commissioner Secretary for extending patient hearing and expressed satisfaction on the assurances given for early and time bound addressing of all the raised issues.
The other members who attended the meeting included JS Rathore, Deepak Tandon, PC Sharma, Krishan Singh Jamwal, Mohd Maqbool Dar, Gurmeet Singh, Bishan Singh, Ashok Gupta, Parshotam Sharma and Vijay Gupta.
