JAMMU, Sept 3: A girl committed suicide by setting herself ablaze in Gangyal area, while, a man ended his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence at Roop Nagar.
As per reports, Arti Devi, daughter of Dharam Singh of Reasi, at present, Gangyal, poured kerosene oil and set herself ablaze.
She was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced her as brought dead.
The reason behind such extreme step could not be ascertained, while, a case has been registered and investigation started.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar of Roop Nagar allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence, yesterday.
Noticing him unconscious, family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and died today.
A case has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the reason.
A 65 years old woman and a teenager were injured in two separate road accidents at Vijaypur and Ramgarh, in district Samba.
Woman identified as Rakho Devi, wife of Chain Singh of Banva (Sumb), district Samba, was seriously injured after being hit by a bus (JK02AF-6391), while crossing road at Vijaypur, whereas, 17 years old Ankush Sharma, son of Late Tara Chand of Gurwal was injured when his motorcycle collided with a school bus at Kamala Morh under the jurisdiction of Ramgarh police station.
Both the injured were shifted to Vijaypur hospital, from where they were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for specialized treatment.
