George Lucas ‘really liked’ ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

LOS ANGELES, Dec 5:  Creator of the “Star Wars”, Geroge Lucas has “really liked” the “The Force Awakens”.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy says the filmmaker will also attend the premieres this month in Los Angeles and London, said The Hollywood Reporter.
In his recent interviews, Lucas, 71, called his relationship to the franchise “a divorce” and said his involvement in the new film would “probably ruin a vision.”
According to Kennedy it was tough for Lucas, who was completely involved in the first six Star Wars films, “watching this go on without his direct involvement. At the same time, he really wanted to step away.”
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned about George is it’s that he’s never, ever held back. Having him 100 percent on board is up to him and he can’t do that unless he’s running everything,” she added.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” directed by JJ Abrams from his and Lawrence Kasdan’s script and starring original franchise cast Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher and new additions John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver, releases on December 18. (PTI)
