Freight rate drops on excess position of trucks

NEW DELHI, Dec 5:  Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations turned weak by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following huge position of trucks in the markets.
Transporters said easy availability of trucks against cargo movements, mainly led fall in some of centres freight rates.
Delhi to Mysore, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram freight rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 62,000, Rs 68,000 and Rs 77,000.
Rates to Indore, Patna and Pune rates also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 19,000, Rs 23,000 and Rs 28,000.
