JAMMU, Dec 5: KC Gurukul Public School celebrated Annual Day and Prize Distribution Function with zeal and enthusiasm at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here.
Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion, while Chander Prakash Ganga, Minister for Commerce and Industries was the guest of honour.
The chief guest accompanied by other dignitaries inaugurated the function by lighting of the traditional lamp, which was followed by Saraswati Vandhana.
Earlier, Academic Director of the School, Vijay Puri presented welcome address, while the annual report of the School was read by senior coordinator, Neera Dogra.
The cultural bonanza ‘Sanskriti’ was appreciated by one and all. English play ‘Julius Cesar’ was presented on the occasion. The aerobics and classical Indian dances mesmerized the audience.
Hindi play ‘Hazir Jawab Mullha Nasuradin’ was also presented on the occasion.
Mavish presented solo performance, while martial art item was also part of the programme.
The dignitaries felicitated the meritorious scholars who excelled in scholastic and co-scholastic areas.
The overall cock trophy was bagged by Subash Chander Bose House for CCA/Sports events.
The chief guest lavished praise for the School Management for the excellence of the School.
Arvind Mahajan presented vote of thanks, while the programme concluded with the presentation of National Anthem.
