Produce lie-detector test report of prime suspect: HC

JAMMU, Dec 8: In the much publicized case of the mysterious disappearance of 12 years old child from Vijaypur, High Court today directed SSP Samba to produce before the court the report of lie detector test of the prime suspect namely Bhushan Kumar, son of Dharma Chand for the perusal of the court on the next date of hearing.
When this petition came up for hearing, Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed appearing for the petitioner Rajesh Sharma drew the attention of the court towards the latest status report filed by Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba who is heading the SIT constituted by the Director General of Police on the directions of the State High Court for tracing the missing child.
“It is disclosed in the status report that lie-detector test of prime suspect namely Bhushan Kumar could not be conducted as the only lie-detector expert in FSL is on leave and Director CFSL Chandigarh has been requested to conduct the test of the prime suspect”, Advocate Ahmed said.
At this stage, SSP Samba-Joginder Singh along with SDPO Vijaypur Shamsher Singh Sambyal appeared along with AAG Rakesh Khajuria vice AAG W S Nargal and informed the court that today lie-detector test has been conducted upon the prime suspect Bhushan Kumar and the report will be available within three to four days.
After considering the submissions of both the sides and looking into the seriousness of the matter, Justice B S Walia directed the SSP Samba to produce the report of the lie-detector test on the next date of hearing— December 14. The court, however, exempted SSP Samba from personal appearance.
