Flight of Imagination
This book also contains ghazals, songs and poetry in Dogri which are very interesting, instructive and entertaining as well. One of specimen stanza from his ghazal follows :
Ronai kanna keish nai labbna
Geet khushi da gandha ravoo
Nikki a ah zindhiri phe bi
Lamba jashan manada ravoo
(Crying is never fruitful, sing songs of joy. Life is very short even then, continuously hold celebrations of joy) Another literary piece illustrates his depth.
Sukhana saidhe, saidhe ahangar, Thakkha, huaatta, manide mainde (Our dreams like us are meek, weak and tired) Note the tenderness of the feelings of the poet who believes that life is a mixture of few darks spots and much bright space. He has used apt phrases and idioms in his Dogri literary writings.
Daya Ram ‘Daya’ is a gifted poet and is presently working with the Doordarshan Kendra, Jammu and his poetry has its own place in the Dogri literature.
Pride Possession
The printing and overall production of this book is of good quality. It has been moderately priced so that more and more people can have it for reading at leisure and pleasure. But the literary merit will make this book essential reading material for the Dogri literature. It is expected that Tredhe Pandhe will be certainly read by large number of readership. It has been received well by the literary circles and expect that the libraries will keep it on their book shelves.
