JAMMU, Dec 12: Police arrested the notorious criminal ‘Vipan Bhoot’, who was evading his arrest since long from Rajpura area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bakshi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Bakshi Nagar police station conducted raid in Rajpura area and nabbed the hardcore criminal, who was evading his arrest since long.
The accused has been identified as Vipan Gupta alias ‘Vipan Bhoot’, son of Ramesh Chander of Shakti Nagar.
He was wanted in several cases registered with various police stations including Janipur, Pacca Danga, Akhnoor, Satwari and Nawabad. Arrest warrant under Section 512 RPC also stands issued against him by the Court.
Questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bakshi Nagar police station Inspector Ashwani Kumar along with Incharge Sarwal police post SI Vikas Hans made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Vivek Sheikhar, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
