JAMMU, Dec 13: Two persons including a woman today made abortive bids on their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in Janipur area of city outskirts and Akhnoor.
According to police sources, a married woman namely Bhagwati (25) wife of Ghanshyam, a resident of Patoli area falling within the limits of police station Janipur today consumed some poisonous substance at her home following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
Similarly, one Roshan Lal (20) son of Rattan Lal, a resident of Akhnoor also consumed some poisonous substance at his residence in Akhnoor area. He was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital, Akhnoor, from where he was later referred to GMCH.
The condition of both the persons was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
