Connectivity accorded top priority by Govt: Lal Singh

KATHUA, Dec 13: Minister for Health, Medical Education and ARI and Trainings Choudhary Lal Singh said that people should come forward to avail the benefits of the Government schemes and programmes envisioned  to ensure welfare of the  people .
The Minister was speaking at a public meeting held here today.
Choudhary Lal Singh  said that   the  role of the PRI representatives is decisive in bringing about a positive change in the lives of the people and asked them to create awareness among the people so that they can be benefited  by the welfare schemes.
The Minister said that  the Coalition Government is marching ahead with the vision of ensuring equitable development in all the three regions of the state viz: Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. He said healthcare and education sector are undergoing a policy change and efforts are afoot to make it accessible at remotest point of the state.
Earlier, deputations from different areas apprised the Minister about their demands mainly related to better road connectivity under PMGSY, augmenting water and power supply  and other basic amenities.
Ch Lal Singh while responding to the issues of people assured that concerted efforts are on   to improve road connectivity to expedite the developmental pace specially in the  rural areas. He said the works on roads under PMGSY are being expedited to provide better links to far flung areas  of the State.
The minister directed the officers of the concerned  departments to take adequate measures to redress the problems projected  by people  during the meeting.
Among others Director Health Services B.S Pathania, CMO, AC(D), X-En PWD, AEE PHE, AEE PMGSY and other district  and tehsil level officers were present on the occasion.
