Patwaries are the revenue officials who are lowest in hierarchy but perform important duties particularly in field. They are on pen down strike and are holding protest demonstrations across the state to protest against the non fulfillment of their demands including disbursement of pending salaries, stopping direct recruitment of naib tehsildars, creating posts of girdawars in newly created administrative units, grade pay of 2800 and technical grade.
The Government has so far failed to meet genuine demands of these officials which has caused adverse effects on smooth conduct of revenue work. In this whole scenario, the common man is worst sufferer. The Government should take due interest in problems faced by these officials and take active steps for meeting their just demands.
